Shangmachang Township
Shangmachang Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Aihui District, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the east of Aihui District, facing Russia across Heilongjiang in the East, Xingfu Township and Jinhe farm in the south, Xinsheng Township and handaqi town in the west, and zhangdiyingzi Township in the north. The administrative area is 849 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 4298 people registered residence in the township. As of October 2019, shangmachang has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of shangmachang township was 6.056 million yuan. In 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises in shangmachang township.
History of construction
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to the Fourth District of BEIXIANG Township, Huihui county.
In 1925, it belonged to the second district.
In 1931, it belonged to zhangdiyingzibao and later to zhangdiyingzicun.
In 1945, it belonged to zhangdiyingzi district.
In 1951, it belonged to the Fifth District.
In April 1956, it was divided into three townships: zhangdiyingzi, shangmachang and dayinlu.
In 1957, dayinlu township was merged into shangmachang township.
In September 1958, it merged with zhangdiyingzi Township and became shangmachang commune.
In 1961, zhangdiyingzi commune was established in northern China.
In May 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.

History and culture
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Ewenki, Daur, Oroqen and other nationalities in the middle and upper reaches of Heilongjiang Province were nomadic in this area. In the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1900), the refugees from the 64th tun of Jiangdong after the Boxer Rebellion settled down and built their own village, and provided imperial horses for the Qing government, which was commonly known as the "horse farm". Until the third year of the Republic of China (1914), another horse farm was built 80 kilometers downstream. In order to distinguish them, it was renamed Shangma factory.
