Cenxi Township
Cenxi Township, subordinate to Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, bordering Changxing town and Huangban township of Songtao County in Guizhou Province in the East, shiye town in the west, Meijiang town in the South and Zhongping Township in the north. It is 28 kilometers away from the county seat of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, with a total area of 49.31 square kilometers.
In 1941, Cenxi township was established from shiye township; in 1983, Cenxi commune was changed into Cenxi township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Cenxi was 9868. As of June 2020, Cenxi rural area has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Qianxi group of Xinqiao village.
The main food crops in Cenxi township are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle and sheep. In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises and 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Cenxi township.

In the thirtieth year of the Republic of China (1941), jieshiye township was set up in Cenxi township.
In 1958, Cenxi township was changed into Cenxi commune.
In 1983, Cenxi commune was changed into Cenxi township.
