Dongying Town, subordinate to Lingao County, Hainan Province, is located in the northwest of Lingao County, bordering Lincheng town in the East, Tiaolou town in the south, houshuiwan town in the West and North, with an administrative area of 83.3 square kilometers.

In March 1958, the commune was established. In June 1985, it was changed to Dongying District. In December 1986, the district was removed and the town was established. By the end of 2018, Dongying town had a registered residence of 28828 people. As of June 2020, Dongying town has jurisdiction over one community and 12 administrative villages, and its people's government is located in Dongying market.
