Maqiaohe town

Maqiaohe town is located in the southeast of Muling City, Heilongjiang Province, on the border with Russia, with a border line of 22 kilometers, 72 kilometers away from Suifenhe port. National Highway 301 and provincial highway 206 Jima highway meet here. Suibin railway runs from east to west, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It is a new important open town along the border.

The administrative area of the town is 560.1 square kilometers, with a total population of 31000. It has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages and 5 neighborhood committees. There are 4 forest farms in the town, with a total area of 254000 mu of cultivated land and 186000 mu of woodland. In 2019, the total revenue will be 4.68 million yuan; the public revenue will be 1.91 million yuan; the investment in fixed assets will be 183 million yuan, completing 122% of the annual task; the investment attraction will be 200 million yuan, completing 133% of the annual task.

Historical evolution

Maqiaohe area is one of the earliest developed areas in Muling.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of ningguta.

In 1882 (the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), when recruiting people to reclaim wasteland and trying to open up wasteland, Tun was set up and named after river.

In 1901 (the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the Middle East Railway was opened to traffic with "eight stations".

In 1903 (the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), it was subordinate to the governor of Muling River branch of Suifen hall.

In 1909 (the first year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty), it was assigned to Muling county and belonged to the first police district.

After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945,

Maqiaohe township was set up in April 1946, under the direct control of the county.

In January 1947, Maqiao River District was set up.

In February 1949, Maqiaohe district was abolished and replaced by the third district.

In March 1956, Maqiaohe township was set up.

In September 1958, it was renamed Maqiaohe people's commune.

In August 1984, the government and society were separated and changed to Maqiaohe township.

In March 1985, the township was replaced by Maqiaohe town.
