Daxing farm

Daxing farm, located in Fujin City, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is managed by Sanjiang branch of Heilongjiang General Bureau of agricultural reclamation. Daxing farm is located in the triangle of Qixing River and Naoli River, commonly known as "Daxing island". Land area of 800 square kilometers, low-lying, fertile soil.

There are 330000 mu of cultivated land, including 180000 mu of paddy field and 150000 mu of dry land. There are 30000 mu of forest land, 30000 mu of grassland and 10000 mu of water area. It is rich in groundwater resources and suitable for planting rice, soybean, wheat, corn and other crops. Naoli River is famous for its rich red bellied crucian carp. After the cancellation of the production and Construction Corps, in March 1977, it was changed into Daxing farm, under the Jiansanjiang farm administration. Daxing farm is located in the low plain area between Naoli River, Qixing River and waiqixing river. The marshes and wetlands are widely distributed in Daxing farm, which is prone to waterlogging. The total land area is 1.21 million mu, of which 335000 Mu is cultivated land. It mainly produces wheat and soybean, and also operates animal husbandry and fishery. In 1992, the total grain output was 69000 tons. Farm industry has agricultural machinery repair, grain and oil processing, building materials factory. At the end of 2012, the total population was more than 13000. With a population of more than 12000, the site has developed into a small agricultural reclamation town with neat streets. the farm has 23 agricultural production companies and 7 enterprises and institutions under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2017, the total population of the farm was 13000, of which the Han population accounted for 96%, and there were 7 ethnic minorities including Korean, Manchu and Hui.
