Songyuan forest farm is located in Songming County, a suburb county under the jurisdiction of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, which is located in the hinterland of central Yunnan Province and is the transportation hub of Northern Yunnan Province. The forest coverage rate of Songming County reached 44.6%, and the ambient air quality reached the first class standard of nature reserves, scenic spots and other areas requiring special protection.

Changsong garden farm of Songming County was built in October 1984. It is a county-level state-owned forest farm and a natural forest reserve with a total land area of 662.0 hectares. Among them: 623.7 hectares of forest land and 38.3 hectares of non forest land. The forest coverage rate was 91.8%, and the total stand volume was 35340 cubic meters. The main tree species are: Pinus yunnanensis, Pinus armandii, Quercus and other trees and shrubs more than 50 species, which play a good demonstration role in the ecological protection of the surrounding areas of our county. Changsong garden farm has five forest areas. Changsong garden area is located in Yangqiao Township, with convenient transportation, water and electricity, complete communication facilities, good ecological protection and good location advantages. It has been listed as a tourism development project in the 11th Five Year Plan of our county. Pujiashan forest area and Longwangmiao forest area are located in Songyang town. Barren field forest area and dougouqing forest area are located in Niulanjiang town.

practice base

There are 1500 square meters of brick and concrete buildings in Changsong garden farm. Yunnan Forestry Vocational and technical college has established a student practice base in Changsong garden area, and Kunming United Technology Co., Ltd. has developed spice planting. There are 12 cadres and workers, 9 on-the-job workers and 3 retirees in the forest farm. There are 5 assistant engineers, 1 technician, 1 senior worker and 2 Intermediate workers. There are 4 students with college education, 2 students with technical secondary school education, 1 student with high school education and 2 students with junior middle school education.
