Historical evolution
Jia town belongs to Yanshan Township in Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Sanga town in the South and Zhangzhuang District in the north; Jiazhen township was built in February 1958 and later renamed as Jiazhen people's commune; Jiazhen district was renamed in 1962; the district was merged in 1971, and yanerzhuang commune was incorporated into dingyuanzhai commune, Ximazhuang commune and yulintou commune into Yanzhuang commune, Zhangzhuang commune and Lanwo commune into Lanwo commune, and the rest of Jiazhen commune was rebuilt in 1984.

The town is the largest breeding and sales base of high-quality seedlings (greening and ornamental) in western Shandong, covering an area of nearly 10000 mu. The animal husbandry of Luxi cattle is in the leading position in Liaocheng City. Jiazhen's three industrial parks, covering an area of more than 800 mu, have 86 agricultural machinery parts factories with advanced equipment such as car planing, washing and grinding, casting, etc., which can undertake the processing of various parts. It is the main base for agricultural vehicle groups such as Shifeng. The town starts early, develops fast and has a large scale.
