Geliao Township

GEMU township is located in the southeast of Ningwu County, 45 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to dietaisi Township in the north, Lianggou Town, Yuanping mayor in the northeast, dongmafang Township in the southeast, Huaidao Township in the South and Dongzhai town in the West. The township government is located in Gemu village, with a total area of 69 square kilometers. The resident population was 1344 (2017).

In 1952, the Township People's government was established in GEMU township. In 1958, the four communes of dongmafang, huishungou, Huaidao and Gemu merged to form Gemu commune. In 1960, the branch was established. It has 13 administrative villages, namely, Gemu, Huangling, meijiazhuang, Gehe, kouzi, shanzhihui, dongtuyao, xituyao, hudonggou, daliangshang, anziliang, Lingyan and dayangpo.

The average altitude of GEMU township is about 1800 meters, the frost free period is about 30 days, the annual rainfall is more than 600 mm, and the annual average temperature is more than 6.2 ℃.

Geliao township is located in the southeast of Ningwu County, 45 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to dietaisi Township in the north, Lianggou Town, Yuanping mayor in the northeast, dongmafang Township in the southeast, Wudao Township in the South and Dongzhai town in the West. The township has a total area of 69 square kilometers, including 13872 mu of arable land. The township has 13 administrative villages, 1344 permanent residents (in 2017), and 11 units (stations and offices) in the township. It is the transportation hub and business center in the southeast of our county.
