Taibao town

Taibao town is under the jurisdiction of Sifangtai District of Shuangyashan City. It is located in the north of the city, adjacent to Jixian County in the East, North and northwest. The town government is 14 kilometers away from Shuangyashan City (Jianshan District).

Historical evolution

In Taibao Town, foreign farmers began to move here in 1918. In 1937, a natural village was formed, named "seven branches", under the jurisdiction of the Fifth District of Fujin county. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Jixian County was set up in June 1946 and put under the jurisdiction of Jixian County. In March 1956, Taibao township was set up. In December 1957, some agricultural societies in Shagang township of Jixian County, sanmenzhoujia agricultural society in Taibao Township and dongshengtun were put under the jurisdiction of Shuangyashan City and Taichang township was established. In August 1958, it was incorporated into Changsheng people's commune. At the beginning of 1960, Changsheng commune was abolished and changed into a farm. In January 1962, Taibao commune was established by "separating government from enterprise". In October 1968, the Taibao commune was abolished and merged into the suburban commune. In May 1970, the Taibao commune was restored. In 1984, it was changed into Taibao township. In January 1987, Taibao town was established.

General situation

Taibao town is located in the southern margin of Sanjiang Plain, which is a Low Mountain hilly plain area. The cultivated land covers an area of 84000 mu, mainly for grain crops, autumn cabbage and potatoes. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 19.5 million yuan. The town has a total jurisdiction of Qiyi, Zhonghua, Kaiyuan, Shanhe, Yuanyuan, Dongsheng, Changfu, Hongxing, backer, Zili, Lingnan, Xinjian, Jianxing, Shuangfeng, Sihe, Xiaonan, Sifangtai, Sixin and other 18 villages.. The town government is located in Qiyi village.

Historical sites

Taibao town has many sites under its jurisdiction, such as xishanbao site near Jinshan Village and Zili village, Zhonghua Dongshan site near Dongsheng Village, Zhonghua Xishan site, Qiyi Dongshan site near Qiyi Village (Han and Wei dynasties), and Qiyi xinanshan site, That is to say, there are only half cave dwellings on the earth's surface and the combination of half cave dwellings and earthen walls; the collected relics are mainly made of sand and tawny pottery. The sites and relics belong to Guntuling culture.
