Halahai farm in Heilongjiang Province is located in Songnen Plain, one of the three black lands in the world. It is located in the northern suburb of Qiqihar City, the hometown of Red Crowned Crane. It is 40 kilometers away from the urban area and covers an area of 294 square kilometers. It is adjacent to meilisdaur District in the south, Gannan County in the north and Longjiang County in the West. It was once under the Joint Service Department of Shenyang Military Region of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and was under the management of 93 branch of Heilongjiang General Bureau of agricultural reclamation in September 2001. The farm has 10 production teams with a total population of 4742 (2010).

General situation of farm production

The ecological environment of Halahai farm is superior, and the pollution-free Beihe natural region is an ideal place given by nature to produce green food. A green food base for planting and breeding has been initially formed in the whole farm. At present, the rice planting area is 933 hectares, with an annual output of 560000 kg of high-quality rice; the corn planting area is 1581 hectares, with an annual supply of 1.07 million kg of corn to the market; the sunflower planting area is 2035 hectares, with an annual supply of 3.05 million kg of sunflower to the market, which is one of the main sunflower distribution centers in the local area; the sugar beet planting area is 310 hectares, with an annual output of 11.62 million kg of sugar beet, which has gradually formed The pattern of leading project industrialization. Livestock and poultry breeding industry is developing rapidly and marching towards the characteristic. Three characteristic breeding and production bases have been established. Farm size

At present, the farm has 5600 hectares of cultivated land, 467 hectares of forest land, 12333 hectares of grassland, 1066 hectares of water surface, 5% of forest coverage, and 2000 hectares of water conservancy irrigation control area, accounting for 35.7% of the total cultivated land. 133 hectares of fish ponds have been developed. Halahai farm has four industrial enterprises, all of which are leased, with an annual rent of 312000 yuan. The annual output of dairy products factory is 600 tons of milk powder; the annual output of brick factory is 12 million pieces of red brick. "Tianlong" brand full fat instant milk powder, "Mailang" brand "Beihai spring" wine has won the title of high quality product of PLA and famous brand product of Shenyang Military Region. After the transformation of industrial enterprises, the farm income has been stabilized, 20% of the farm labor has been transferred to enterprises, the income channels have been widened, and the pace of workers' becoming rich has been accelerated.

Halahai farm is famous for its good ecological environment, many wild animals and plants, wild scenery and unique and gorgeous scenery. The construction plan of national ecological demonstration zone has been approved by Heilongjiang Provincial Bureau of land reclamation. Halahai wetland, known as the largest and the most complete preserved original wetland landform in Northeast Asia, has been established as a sub bureau level nature reserve.
