Weizhuang Street

Weizhuang street, belonging to Changyuan City, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, is located 5 kilometers southeast of Changyuan city. It faces changxingji Township, Dongming County, Shandong Province across the Yellow River in the East, adjoins Nianli town in the southeast, wenyanqu and Liuguang Township, Fengqiu County in the South and southwest, Nanpu street in the West and northwest, Pudong street and menggang town in the north, and Lugang Township in the northeast. The street area is 100 square kilometers. As of April 2019, Weizhuang street has a population of 100000.

Before liberation, it was the Second District of Quhe county. After liberation, it belonged to the Second District of Changyuan county (Shenmu District). In 1958, it belonged to Rangli people's commune. In 1963, the west of Rangli township was designated as Weizhuang commune. In 1984, it was changed into Weizhuang township. In 1996, it was withdrawn from the township to build Weizhuang town. On August 31, 2012, it was withdrawn from the town to set up Weizhuang street. As of June 2020, Weizhuang street has jurisdiction over 46 administrative villages.

From January to August in 2019, the fiscal and tax revenue of Weizhuang Street will reach 141 million yuan, accounting for 73.4% of the annual target. Fixed assets investment reached 1.52 billion yuan. Four new "four up" enterprises were added. The actual use of funds outside the province is 390 million yuan, accounting for 78% of the target tasks. 11 projects with more than 100 million yuan were signed, including 9 leading industry projects and 4 service industry projects. 41 planned projects, with an investment of 2.43 billion yuan, accounting for 86% of the target tasks.

Historical evolution

In 1963, the western part of Nianli township was designated as Weizhuang commune.

In 1984, it was changed to Weizhuang township.
