Shuizi town

Shuizi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Qian'an County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, borders Qian'an County in the East, Daozi Township in the South and Da'an in the north. The total administrative area is 272 square kilometers.

Shuizi town used to be a Mongolian Nomadic land; in 1900, qijiaweizi (shuizijing) was built; in 1983, Shuizi commune was changed into Shuizi town. By the end of 2018, the town had 17910 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Shuizi town has one community and 13 administrative villages.

History of construction

Shuizi town used to be a Mongolian Nomadic land. In 1900, qijiaweizi (shuizijing), fudquanshaoguo (Zhengyang Zijing), zhaolaodeweizi (xiangzijing), zhanglaoqingweizi (xinanyang Zijing), fudquanwobao (Qianli Zijing), laoniuquan (Houli Zijing), jiangxiaosiweizi (tiaozui), bajiahu (naizijing), houshanwan (Xiyu Zijing) and yilaoye were built Wobao (East jade well).

In 1929, some wells were set up in this area, such as master Zi well, Xiao Shi Zi well, long Zi well, Dong Zhou Zi well, Xiang Zi well, Guang Zi well and Guo Zi well. During the period of northeast occupied by Japanese, it belonged to Yangzi village.

In 1949, it belonged to Zhenshui village, Daozi district.

In 1956, it belonged to Zhenshui Township and was called Zhenshui senior society.

In 1958, it belonged to Shuizi management area of Daozi commune.

In 1961, the master commune was set up as the Shuizi brigade.

In 1981, it was renamed Shuizi commune.

In 1983, the commune was transformed into a town.
