In February 1970, Pingdong street was set up. In 1972, it was divided into Weidong street and Pingdong street. In 1973, it was merged into Pingdong street. In 1979, Pingdong street was changed. In July 2004, the East Jiedao of Xiping was replaced by the South Jiedao of Pingping. As of June 2020, Pingnan street has four communities under its jurisdiction.
