Baocheng town

Baocheng town is located in the southwest of Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It was formed by the merger of Baocheng town and Guanlong town in March 2004.

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in five counties (districts) including Tongchuan District (cfzm [2019] No. 21): the administrative region of Ma'an village in Shehong township was put under the jurisdiction of Baocheng Town, and Baocheng Town People's government was stationed at No. 332, Baoxin street.

Baocheng town is located in the southwest of Quxian County, 26 kilometers away from qucheng. It borders Dingyuan township of Quxian County in the East, Xiaohe township of Guang'an County in the south, Xinshi township of Quxian County in the west, Gongshi township of Quxian County in the north, covering an area of 38.7 square kilometers, and 1212 mu of non cultivated land (including barren mountains and streams). At present, there are 12 administrative villages (village committees), 1 Community (neighborhood committees) and 69 villager groups with a total population of 27491 (2019).

Historical evolution

In Xianfeng Period, caobachang was built. In 1953, it became Baocheng Township and Shiban township. In 1958, it was changed into Baocheng commune and Shiban commune (renamed Guanlong commune in 1980). In 1984, it was changed into Baocheng town and Guanlong township.

In 1996, Baocheng Township, with an area of 23 square kilometers and a population of 19000, governed 10 administrative villages and a neighborhood committee in Baocheng, Heping, Shiren, Xinguang, Matou, Wanfu, Ma'an, Hongbao, Yuhuang and Fuxing; Guanlong Township, with an area of 11 square kilometers and a population of 11000, governed 5 administrative villages in Guanlong, Lianfeng, Shimiao, Shitai and Shapo. In 2004, Ma'an village of Baocheng town was merged into Hongxiang, Guanlong township was abolished and merged into Baocheng town.

Economics

The total number of township enterprises is 358, including 2 collective enterprises, 2 machine brick factories, 3 prefabrication yards, 351 individual businesses (including commercial retail, catering, entertainment, etc.) and 1208 employees.

The construction of the town has begun to take shape. There are 392 stores of various kinds. There is a farmer's market combining livestock, poultry, timber, livestock and meat, and fishing. All kinds of stalls are complete. The first, fourth, and seventh days are market days.

Culture

There are 1 middle school with 1453 students, 79 teaching staff, 12 primary schools with 3442 students, 1 first-class hospital and 67 medical staff.

In the southwest border of Quxian County, where Dazhou, Guang'an and Nanchong are connected, there is a bright pearl dotted here. This is the only rural and municipal Demonstration Primary School in Dazhou -- the first Central Primary School of Baocheng town in Quxian county. It's a beautiful place with beautiful environment, green trees, birds singing and flowers smelling. It's a paradise for children to grow up and a cradle for students to grow up.

The first Central Primary School of Baocheng town in Quxian county was founded in 1975, covering an area of more than 25000 square meters and a building area of more than 8000 square meters. It governs five village primary schools.

The school now has a primary school and a kindergarten, with 46 teaching classes and more than 2000 students; 95 teaching staff, including 48 senior teachers; the qualification rate is 100%, including 66 junior college students and 4 undergraduate students.
