Chendai town

Chendai town is located in the southeast of Yunxiao County, Fujian Province. It is 19.4km away from the county government. It has jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages. Zhangzhao expressway, 324 National Highway and Shuangdong provincial highway transit. Jiaomei village has steam turbine berthing wharf and Taiwan Trade reception station.

The coastline of Chendai town is 21.5 kilometers long. Xiangdong canal is located in Hujing. Jiaomei and Baijiao are rich in sea salt. There are "Dongshan battle" martyrs' tombs in the territory, and the historic sites are Lianhua nunnery near the sea in Xinxu village.

Chendai town is located in the south of the west coast of the Strait. It is the South Gate of Yunxiao. It is separated from Dongshan County in the East, Zhaoan County in the south, Changshan Economic Development Zone in the West and Lieyu town in the north. Chendai town is 8 kilometers away from the exit of Zhangzhao expressway, Xiamen Shenzhen high speed railway station and Yunxiao port area.

The coastline of Chendai town is 25 kilometers long, with many deep-water harbors. The jiaomei wharf is adjacent to Taiwan Province across the sea. The economic and trade exchanges between the two sides of the Strait are active. It is an important port for trade with Taiwan. National Highway 324 and provincial highway 201 cross each other.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Daiyu town and worked in Chendai ancestral hall. At the beginning of the founding of new China, it belonged to the third district and still used the original ancestral hall as the office space. Yunxiao No.2 Middle School was founded in 1959 with a construction area of 2000 square meters. In 1961, Haifeng commune was changed into Chendai commune, and in 1962, 900 square meters of stone and wood structure buildings were built. After that, 15 units including health centers, supply and marketing cooperatives, farmers' markets, grain stations, oil factories, stations, police stations and courts were built. From 1970s to 1980s, it was rebuilt and expanded continuously. In 1989, a new office building of town government with 3-storey concrete structure and a construction area of 2090 square meters was built, and 3800 square meters of new houses were built for farmers around the town. By 1996, the office building of the town government will be reconstructed and expanded to 4 floors, with a construction area of 2990 square meters. The affiliated units of the town will expand the office building to 12000 square meters, expand and build Chendai farmer's market to 7000 square meters, with a greening area of 750 square meters and newly built houses of 18500 square meters.
