Songhuajiang Town, belonging to Dehui City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the northeast of Dehui City and on the South Bank of the main stream of Songhuajiang river. It borders Chalukou town in the East, Dafangshen town and Dajiagou town in the south, Caiyuanzi town in the west, Taolaizhao town of Fuyu County and Wukeshu town of Yushu city across the Songhuajiang River in the north. It is 31 kilometers away from Dehui City, with a total area of 165.09 square kilometers.

In 1910, Songhuajiang town was located in yinniukeng; in 1984, Songhuajiang commune was changed into Songhuajiang town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Songhua River was 41502. As of June 2020, Songhuajiang town has 3 communities and 15 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 45 industrial enterprises in Songhuajiang Town, including 11 above scale enterprises and 196 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1910, it was named yinniukeng.

In 1931, Songhuajiang village was established, belonging to three districts of Dehui county. In 1946, Songhuajiang township was changed.

In 1958, Songhuajiang township was changed into Songhuajiang commune.

In 1984, Songhuajiang commune was transformed into Songhuajiang town.
