Maoqi town

Maoqi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Haicheng City, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is located in the south of Haicheng City, bordering Bali Town and Yingluo town in the East and south, Ganwang town and Xiliu town in the northwest, and Xiangtang town in the north, with an administrative area of 64.7 square kilometers.

In 1948, the villages in the area were divided into pailou district and Maoqi town was built in 1988. By the end of 2018, 20927 households in Mao Qi town had registered residence. As of June 2020, Maoqi town has 10 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total revenue of Maoqi town was 460 million yuan, an increase of 18.7% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 11390 yuan. In 2018, there were 120 industrial enterprises in Maoqi Town, including 6 above scale and 70 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1948, the villages within the jurisdiction were divided into pailou district.

On October 1, 1955, Maoqi township was officially established.

In June 1961, Maoqi commune was established.

With an average altitude of 40 meters, Heiyan temple, the highest point in the territory, is located in caojiabao village, with an altitude of 333.2 meters; the lowest point is 20 meters above sea level.
