Hangu Street

Hangu street belongs to Tianjin Binhai New Area, located in the north of Binhai New Area. In December 2013, the original Hangu street was merged with Datian town to establish a new Hangu street. The area covers an area of 91.82 square kilometers, with 7964 mu of arable land and a population of 50685 (2010). It has 10 administrative villages and 11 neighborhood committees. Jingshan railway, Tangjin expressway, Jinning expressway, Jinqin high-speed railway, 112 National Highway, Luhan highway and Jinhan highway are changed to run through the whole area, and Jiyun canal runs through the area for 11 km. Hangu street is rich in geothermal resources with reserves equivalent to 22.7 million tons of standard coal.

Historical evolution

In 1930, it set up Hangu Township in five districts of Ninghe County; in 1949, it built Hangu town; in 1956, it built Mantianhong senior community; in 1958, it changed to Hongqi commune; in 1960, it set up Hangu branch; in 1961, it changed to Hangu commune; in 1975, it cancelled the commune; in 1978, it changed to Hangu street. At the end of 2007, the four neighborhood committees of Jinguli No.1, Jinguli No.2, Wenhua street and Hebin in yuanyanchang street were assigned to Hangu street. It has jurisdiction over 16 communities and its office is located at 65 Xinkai Middle Road, guxiangli community. In 2009, because the former Culture Street neighborhood committee was under the jurisdiction of Yanchang street, the residents lived in weiminli, zhongyangli, houtuoli and dongbinli respectively, which was not convenient for management; qiantuoli neighborhood committee and Culture Street neighborhood committee merged into qiantuoli neighborhood committee, the former Culture Street neighborhood committee was under the jurisdiction of other neighborhood committees, and the residents were managed according to their territories.
