Jiamatu town

Jiamatu Town, belonging to Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner, adjacent to Baokang town in the East, nurimu and Xiedai in the south, Baolongshan in the West and dailiji town in the north. The area is 481.78 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 40665 people registered residence.

In August 1959, it was the residence of gamatu commune and gamatu management area. In September 1984, jiamatu commune was abolished and jiamatu town was built. In 2006, Sumu Township Institutional Reform, the original jiamatu Town, Tuanjie Township, Xinhe Township merged into the current jiamatu town. As of June 2020, jiamatu town has 41 administrative villages and another village level unit.

Historical evolution

During the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, it belonged to the Darhan family.

From 1932 to October 1958, he was the residence of the government and government office of nutuk (District). During the period of puppet Manchukuo, it was the garrison of jiamatu police station.
