Bailingmiao Town, belonging to the Darhan maoming'an United banner of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south of the middle of Darhan maoming'an United banner. It is adjacent to Darhan Sumu in the East, Wuke town in the south, Ming'an town and Bayan Obo mining area in the west, and Darhan Sumu in the north. The area is 627 square kilometers. In October 1952, Dahan banner and maoming'an banner merged into Dahan maoming'an United banner. On April 2, 1958, the Ulanqab League was transformed into the administrative office, which belongs to the Executive Office of Ulanqab League. On January 1, 1996, Damao United banner was assigned to Baotou city. In 2005, honggetala sheep breeding farm was assigned to Bailingmiao town. In June 2020, Bailingmiao town governs 7 communities and 4 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, dahanbeile built a temple here, which was called Beile temple.

In 1781, it was named Guangfu temple. Later, it was renamed bailing temple.

In 1939, the puppet Mongolian Xinjiang United autonomous government was established. In the same year, the office of the puppet Ulanqab League was established in the bailing temple.

On September 19, 1949, after the peaceful liberation of Xunyuan Province, darhanbel banner still belonged to Ulanqab League.

In October 1952, Dahan banner and maoming'an banner merged into Dahan maoming'an United banner.

On April 2, 1958, the Ulanqab League was transformed into the administrative office, which belongs to the Executive Office of Ulanqab League.
