Jinyan Tujia Township

Jinyan Tujia township is located in the southwest of Cili County. It is adjacent to Xikou town in the East and North, and five townships and one town in Yongding District in the West and south. It is named because there is a rock mountain in the shape of "Jin" at the entrance of the township, which is called "Jinyan mountain".

General situation

Township government resident Sanyuan village sigangtou, 88 kilometers away from the county. The total soil area of the township is 138.22 square kilometers (2017), with 19469 mu of cultivated land, including 14803 mu of paddy field and 4666 mu of dry land. There are 19 villager committees, 264 villager groups, 15413 people (in 2017), 13800 Tujia people and 284 non-agricultural people. There are 25 party branches and 509 CPC members in the township. The township was founded in the early days of liberation. It was changed into a people's commune in 1958. In 1984, the township system was restored. In April 1995, it was identified as a Tujia Township by the National People's commission. In the same year, it was identified as a separate Township in the process of withdrawing districts and merging townships. Within the territory, there are mountains winding, two mountains extending more than 15 kilometers from south to north; streams winding, originating from Jiudu river at the southern foot of Tianmen Mountain, running through north and south, forming a landscape of "two mountains with one ditch, Six Mountains with three rivers and one farmland". The township is rich in water resources, with a water area of 6002.7 mu. There is a hydropower station with an installed capacity of 250 kW, with an annual power generation of 0.5 million kwh. The electricity consumption rate reaches 99%, 13 villages have access to program-controlled telephone, and 6 villages have access to cordless telephone. There are n satellite TV ground receiving stations in the whole Township, and the cable TV coverage rate of market towns is 10%.

economic development

In 2002, the total industrial and agricultural output value was 76.4 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 1300 yuan. The township is rich in forest resources, forest area of 18457 mu, including 14399 Mu forest area, timber volume of 160000 cubic meters, mainly Cunninghamia lanceolata, annual output of 4000 cubic meters. With a long history of planting and processing, daylily is well-known in the food industry of the Ministry of domestic trade. Its products have been exported to foreign countries. In 1996, it was designated as the production base of daylily by the municipal and county vegetable office. In 2002, the company introduced Lentinus edodes production. Zhangjiajie Yihua Green Food Co., Ltd. signed production and marketing contracts with farmers. It made full use of the abundant miscellaneous wood resources and vigorously developed the cultivation, which led to a good economic path of company + farmers. At the Zhangjiajie tourism products fair, fuhuai brand daylily and Yihua brand edible mushrooms produced in Tujia township of Jinyan made a big splash and signed several million yuan purchase and sale contracts. Lacquer and medicinal materials are also the local specialties. The main medicinal materials are Eucommia ulmoides, Phellodendron amurense and Magnolia officinalis. The planting area of Eucommia ulmoides is about 10000 mu, and that of Phellodendron amurense and Magnolia officinalis is about 2000 mu, with an annual output value of 1 million yuan. In addition, ramie, rape, tung oil and peanut are also the main economic crops in the township. The mineral resources of the township are also relatively rich. The reserves of phosphate rock are about 4.8 million tons, with an average phosphorus content of 15.5-25%; the reserves of copper ore are about 3.6 million tons, with the highest copper content of 5.12%.

The township has 1 middle school, 4 primary schools, 12 village teaching centers, 1950 students and 85 teaching staff, 1 standard agricultural science teaching center, 1 Township Health Center, 2 outpatient departments, 20 village medical centers, 30 beds and 45 medical staff. The township health center is famous for treating stroke hemiplegia, and was awarded the title of traditional Chinese medicine hemiplegia hospital by the County Health Bureau in June 1995.
