Yanshikou street, subordinate to Jinjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the central area of Chengdu, adjacent to Chunxi Road in the East, a section of Renmin South Road in the west, connecting with Tianfu Square, Guanghua Street and Xuedao street in the south, and donghuazheng street and Zongfu road in the North.

Historical evolution

Yanshikou sub district office is named after Yanshikou district. Its predecessor was the South Sox Street sub district office, which was established in 1953. In 1959, when Chunxi Road people's commune was established by merging with the three sub district offices of Renmin East Road, Zitong qiaozheng street and Zongfu street, it was changed into Nansha hosiery branch. In 1962, the South Sox Street sub district office was restored. In 1968, with the two offices of Zongfu street and Renmin East Road, yingxiongkou Street Revolutionary Committee was established. In 1970, the administrative division was restored, and it was still called yingxiongkou Street Revolutionary Committee. Later, it was changed to nansujiao Street Revolutionary Committee. In 1979, it was restored as the South Sox Street sub district office. In 1981, it was renamed Yanshikou sub district office. In 1987, Renmin East Road sub district office was merged with Yanshikou sub district office, and the name of Yanshikou sub district office was still used. In 2001, taking Yanshikou sub district office as the main body, Xishuncheng street, guwolongqiao street and Shangdong street under the jurisdiction of the former Qingshiqiao sub district office were assigned to Yanshikou sub district office.
