Subogai Township
Subogai Township, belonging to tumed Right Banner of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of tumed Right Banner, adjacent to meidaizhao town in the East, jiangjunyao town in the south, Salaqi town and Haizi town in the west, and goumen town in the north. The area is 152 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 35167 people registered residence.
In 1958, it was incorporated into Tumet banner with Salaqi county. When it was communized, it belonged to Dongfeng commune. In April 1959, Dongfeng commune was renamed meidaizhao commune. In 1961, it was separated from meidaizhao commune and set up supogai commune. In 1969, tumed banner was divided into left and right tumed banner, which belonged to tumed Right Banner. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In June 2020, supogai township has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises in subogai Township, including 2 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 56 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, it was the pasture of the Manchu official tribe in tumed, Mongolia.
The Mongols in the Qing Dynasty were under the jurisdiction of 5 a of Tumet right wing banner, and the other nationalities were under the jurisdiction of East Township of salaqiting.
In the early period of the Republic of China, the Mongols were under the jurisdiction of the right-wing 5 a of Tumet, and other nationalities were under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Salaqi county.
During the period of the Japanese puppet regime, the Mongols were under the jurisdiction of the right-wing 5a of the puppet Tumet, some of the other nationalities were under the jurisdiction of Qinye township of the puppet Salaqi County, and some were under the jurisdiction of the puppet assistant township.
In 1946, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of the sixth autonomous Supervision Office of Tumet special banner, and other nationalities were under the jurisdiction of meidaizhao township.
In 1950, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 6 of tumed banner, the Han nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 4 of Salaqi County, and supogai village was the seat of District 4 government. In March 1954, District 6 of Tumet banner was incorporated into Salaqi County, and all ethnic groups in the township belonged to District 1 of Salaqi county.
In 1956, the township was divided into donglaozangying township.
In 1958, it was incorporated into Tumet banner with Salaqi county. When it was communized, it belonged to Dongfeng commune.

The origin of place names
Origin of the name of subogai township: it got its name from the original residence of the Township People's Government in subogai village. Subogai originated from Mongolian "suboluogai", which means a place with a tower.
Honorary title
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name supogai township as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
