Xinqiao Town is located in the southeast of Fumian District, bordering Nanjiang town of Yuzhou District in the East, Shihe town in the south, Zhangmu town in the West and Fumian town in the north. The town government is 12 kilometers away from Yulin City and 8 kilometers away from Fumian district. There are 17 administrative villages, 86 natural villages and 350 villager groups in the town, with a total population of more than 55000 at the end of 2002.

The total land area of the town is 82 square kilometers, with 33600 mu of cultivated land, 15400 mu of forest land and 500 mu of secondary industrial land such as enterprises. Xinqiao Town is the intersection of Yuzhou District, Fumian district and Luchuan county. The second-class kilometers from Yulin to Beihai pass through the town. Each administrative village in the town has realized the fourth class highway, so the traffic is more convenient. In 1999, Xinqiao Town was listed as a demonstration town of the national small town economic comprehensive development project. It invested 6 million yuan to harden, green and brighten the streets, and built a perfect water supply and drainage project and a waterworks with a daily water supply of 1000 tons. The agricultural infrastructure is relatively complete. Since 1999, it has invested 15 million yuan to build two national agricultural comprehensive development project demonstration areas, which are convenient for irrigation and drainage. In 2002, the total social income of the town was 298 million yuan, including 27.43 million yuan for industry, 125.57 million yuan for agriculture, 5.4 million yuan for finance and 2108 yuan for per capita net income of farmers. Rich in rice, vegetables, fish, pigs, shenhuang chicken, sugar cane, fruit cane, black skin wax gourd and so on. At present, there are 22 industrial enterprises in building materials, foundry, paper making, food, clothing and so on. The automobile transportation industry is developed. Guangxi Xinfa transportation group has more than 2100 vehicles in operation. It is the largest private transportation enterprise in Guangxi and one of the four major private transportation enterprises registered in China. Dongfeng Automobile transportation company has more than 20 heavy vehicles, which is a famous heavy transportation enterprise in Guangxi. Business, catering, service, tourism and other tertiary industries are not flourishing. There are 1 senior high school, 2 junior middle schools, 17 primary schools, 367 teachers and 22000 students in the town. There are 1 town level library, 8500 books, 12 village level libraries, 15000 books, 1 town level cable TV station, 4 village level cable TV stations and more than 1200 cable TV users in the town.
