Xinchang Town

Xinchang Town is located in Jiajiang County, Leshan City. Xinchang Town is located in the north gate of Jiajiang, 12.3km away from the county seat, less than an hour's drive from Chengdu. It borders Qingshen County in the East, Ganlin town in the south, Huangtu town in the west, Tumen Township and Qingzhou Township in the north. It has the location advantage of Chengle expressway toll station and Jiajiang north gate. Jiajiang economic development zone is also located in the town.

On September 4, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of township administrative divisions in Jiajiang County, Leshan City: Qingzhou Township, Wufeng Township and Tumen Township were canceled, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Xinchang Town, which was stationed at No.1 Danxia Road.

On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.

Xinchang Town is located in the north east of Jiajiang County. It is a key town in China, 12 kilometers away from the county. The entrance and exit of Jiajiang on Chengle expressway is located here, 1 hour's drive away from Chengdu. The town covers an area of 33.29 square kilometers, with an altitude of 461 meters. The cultivated area is 8749 mu. Agriculture to plum, grapefruit, tea as characteristic products, is Leshan City famous special fruit production base. There are middle schools, primary schools and health centers in the territory, which has been listed as a pilot town of municipal small market towns. Chengle Expressway crosses 18 agricultural communities in 3 villages, with a total length of 7.48 km; the connecting line from Jiajiang toll station to the county town passes through 3 villages in the town, with a total length of 5.3 km, connecting with Dajian Road (103 provincial road) of Chengle highway. The road network of towns and villages has been hardened and the traffic network has been formed, which sets off the advantage of Xinchang Town, which is located in the north gate of Jiajiang river.

Xinchang Town covers an area of 33.29 square kilometers, with a total population of 11705 (2017), including 7 administrative villages of Jiangshan, Puyi, huanglin, Xinchang, Hexing, Xiaoping and Hongqi, and 2 communities of Xinghe and Anzi communities.

In 2013, Xinchang Town was listed as the key town of national small market town construction. In 2014, it was listed as the third batch of "100 towns construction" pilot towns in the province. Jiajiang economic and Technological Development Zone, a provincial Economic Development Zone in Sichuan Province, is an important industrial town in Jiajiang.

In 2002, the industrial and agricultural output value of the whole town was 47762 million yuan, including 4191.3 million yuan of industrial output value, 2616 yuan of per capita net income of farmers and 2.5 million yuan of financial income. He was rated as the winning unit of target management by the county target Committee, the meritorious unit of creating a provincial health county and a civilized city by the county Party committee and government, the important ideological learning and teaching activity of "Three Represents" in rural areas by the Sichuan provincial Party committee, and the advanced unit of "three level joint innovation" in the construction of rural grassroots organizations. From 2000 to 2002, he was awarded the advanced team of "four good" activities by the county Party committee; from 2001 to 2002, he was awarded the first prize of foreign investment promotion by the county Party committee and government; he was awarded the first prize of economic work of the whole county. In June 2001, it was rated as a drug free community by the comprehensive management committee of the municipal anti drug Commission.

On June 26, 2001, the provincial government approved the new town of Jiajiang County. On August 1, the Provincial Planning Commission approved the construction of Jiajiang Guangdong Foshan ceramic industrial park with an annual ceramic production capacity of 200 million square meters, covering an area of about 5000 mu, water, electricity, road, communication and other supporting facilities, in Hongqi village, Xinghe village and Chengle Expressway to the connecting line. As of 2002, 21 enterprises including Huaxing, Ausburg and xinzhongyuan have been introduced. Among them, 11 ceramic enterprises have 70 production lines, covering an area of 1691.5 mu, with a construction area of 462000 square meters, a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan, and 34.5 production lines have been put into operation with an annual production capacity of 37.8 million square meters. In 2002, the output value was 419.3 million yuan, the state land tax was 10.52 million yuan, and the profit was 11.06 million yuan. The surplus labor force of 5146 people can be solved, and the income of migrant workers can reach 36 million yuan.

In 2014, there were more than 20 large and small enterprises such as xinzhongyuan, Milano, Guangle and carbon fiber in the town area, and the industrial economy continued to grow steadily. The agricultural industry mainly focuses on the development of tea, vegetables, fruits, flower planting, and chicken, duck, pig breeding. The third industry mainly develops logistics, commerce, catering and hotel services. In 2014, the per capita net income of farmers in the town reached 14213 yuan.
