Luxi town

Luxi town is located in the northeast border of Wuning County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, with a total area of 168.5 square kilometers. It has 16 administrative villages, including Beiping, Zhangzhuang, Lingbei, Hezhou, fengshu, Meiyan, kengbei, Daqiao, Luxi, tawan, Dayan, Hushan, Shuangxi, Nanchong, Xiaoyuan and Shuangxin. There are 187 villager groups with a total population of more than 32000 people, 28 party branches and 1058 party members.

The town is a "three district" town integrating mountainous area, reservoir area and forest area. It is an important economic town of the whole county and a key provincial town.

Luxi town is adjacent to Mufu mountain in the north, Zhelin Lake in the south, Nanyi town in Ruichang City in the East, quankou town in benxian County in the west, Yanggang town in Hubei Province and Paradise town in Ruichang City in our province in the north, Guanlian town and Songxi town in benxian County in the South. National Highway 316 runs through it, with convenient transportation and an important transportation hub - Kelong, connecting Jiujiang and Nanchang in the East and Changsha and Wuhan in the West. National Road, provincial road and county road are the important gateway of Wuning to the outside of the county.

The geographical coordinates of Luxi town are 115 ° 14 ′ E and 29 ° 26 ′ n. the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. In the northeast, Pingshan is used as a barrier (the altitude of wangjiaping peak is 632m), and in the southwest, Meiyan mountain is used as a side wall. The lowest is below 65m. The natural water systems include shuangkeng water and Maji water, which originate from the Beiping mountains, flowing into Shuangxi River; luxidong water, xiliuyuan water, Meiyan section water, Kelong water, zoutang water and zhenggongmiao water, which flow into Hezhou port from the west to Dongna; xiaputang water and taqian water of Meiyan mountain flow into Daqiao River, forming a "Chuan" shape and flowing into Zhelin lake.

The town has a subtropical monsoon climate with mild and humid climate, four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. The annual rainfall is 1480mm. The annual average temperature in the southern hilly area is about 16 ℃, with the lowest in January and the average temperature of 30 ℃; the highest in July, with the average temperature of 28 ℃ and frost free period of 230 days. The origin of history

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912 AD), Luxi had 13 capitals and 15 capitals under the jurisdiction of Shengren township. In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930 Ad), Luxi was the Fifth District of Wuning, and the joint protection system was implemented. In the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948 ad), the district system was abolished, Daqiao township was established, and Xiaqiao township was also established

In May 1949, with the liberation of Wuning, the administration of Daqiao and Xiaqiao township was merged and divided into the Fourth District of Wuning (there are seven districts in the county), and the district government is located in Luxi. It has jurisdiction over 11 townships and 100 natural villages including Hezhou, Xiliu, Nanchong, Guantang, Dayan, Longkou, Lingbei, Luxi, Xiaoyuan, Beiping and Lianhua. In 1956, the scope of districts and townships was expanded, and the bridge governed six townships, including Xilu, Longyan, Xiaoyuan, Heling and Beiping. In October 1958, the people's commune system was realized. The system at district level was abolished and the township community was integrated. The county changed 56 townships into 16 communes, 5 farms and one town (Xinning town). For this reason, Daqiao district was changed to Daqiao commune, which is in charge of Daqiao commune and Hezhou commune. Daqiao commune is located in shangdongkou, which is in charge of Guanlian, Longyan, Xilu and Xiaoyuan townships; Hezhou commune is located in dangli, which is in charge of Heling and Beiping townships. In October 1961, the county Party committee decided to set up 8 districts, 50 communes, one commune and one town. At this time, the five communes of Hezhou, Xilu, Shuangxi, Longyan and Guanlian merged into Daqiao District until September 1969. In October of the same year, the district system was abolished, and the Revolutionary Committee of Daqiao people's commune was established, which had 16 brigades under its jurisdiction. In 1972, with the approval of the local Revolutionary Committee, Guanlian commune was added, and Xiwan and Guantang brigades were put under the jurisdiction of Guanlian commune. In September 1983, it was renamed Daqiao river people's commune. In May 1984, the town was completely separated from the government. One town of 23 communes in the county was changed into township (town) system. Daqiao River commune was changed into Daqiao River Township. In August of the same year, it was changed into Luxi township. Until December 28, 1993, it was changed from township to Luxi township.
