Struggle township is under the jurisdiction of Fangzheng county. It is located in the southeast of the county, adjacent to Hailin and Shangzhi in the southeast and Yanshou County in the south. The township government is 17 kilometers away from the county seat.

In 1970, in order to prepare for the war, several new villages were built in the southern mountainous areas, and hundreds of farmers moved in to form a commune, which was called "anti revisionist commune" at first, and changed to "struggle commune" in 1973. In August 1984, it was changed to struggle village.

economic development

The township has a total of 6330 mu of arable land, mainly planting corn, soybeans, rice. Mountain products include ginseng, Pingbei, acanthopanax senticosus, Auricularia auricula, bracken and so on. Township run industries include wood processing, agricultural machinery maintenance, etc. The township has jurisdiction over six villages, namely, Fengshou, Qianjin, Gongfu, Yuejin, Fuqiang and Xinguang. In 1990, the total population of the township was 2215, of which the Korean and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 10%. Township government is located in struggle village.
