Dongxing township is under the jurisdiction of Baoqing county. Located in the northeast of the county, near the Qinghe Reservoir, surrounded by the farm branch and production team of the eighth five Three Kingdoms camp. The township government is 96 kilometers away from the county seat.
Dongxing township is located in Dongxing village, formerly known as "yishunhao", which is named after yishunhao. During the puppet Manchukuo period, the rulers of the Japanese puppet regime changed their name to Dahe Town in order to publicize the so-called "Dahe nation". After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was changed to Dongxing village, which means "prosperity and development in the East". Dongxing area is an early developed area. In the early days of the Republic of China, it was a famous opium growing area with a large population and was under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Raohe county. After the fall of Northeast China, it was under the jurisdiction of Baoqing County in 1938, and Dahe Town and village was set up in 1939. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Dongxing village was established in 1947. In 1950, it belonged to the Fifth District. In July 1956, Dongxing township was set up instead of regionalized township. In August 1958, it was changed into Dongxing people's commune. In May 1984, it was changed to Dongxing township. the cultivated land area of Dongxing township is 18000 mu, interlaced with 853 farm. It mainly focuses on agriculture, mainly planting wheat, soybean, rice, and other sideline production, such as raising raccoon dogs and deer. Two thirds of the 120 households in Sihe village raise minks, which has become a new way for farmers to get rich. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 12.5 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over Dongxing, Dongwang and Dongsheng villages. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 4517, of which the Korean, Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 20%. The township government is located in Dongxing village.
