Xinghua town is located at the north foot of Xionger mountain in the southwest of Luoning County, Henan Province. In 2009, Xinghua town changed from township to Xinghua town. Xinghua town is 120 kilometers away from Luoyang City and 32 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 187 square kilometers. Surrounded by mountains, Xinghuayu is wide in the South and narrow in the north. It looks like a gourd, commonly known as huluyu. It has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, 147 villager groups and 20700 people, including 200 Hui people living in Xinghua village and 30 Mongolian people living separately in Xinghua, wamiao and Xinan villages. The town has the highest peak of the whole county, quanbaoshan and the site of Cangjie zaozitai, and is rich in mineral resources, bamboo and wood resources. In 2007, the total rural economic income of the town was 362.9 million yuan, the investment in fixed assets was 318 million yuan, the general budget income of the town reached 5.6 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 3315 yuan. Xinghua commune was established in 1958, and the township was changed in 1984.
