Sanhe Town, subordinate to Bishan District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Bishan District, adjacent to Guangpu town in the East, Wutan town of Jiangjin District in the south, Daan street of Yongchuan District in the West and Dingjia street in the north. It is 38 kilometers away from Bishan City, with a total area of 35.98 square kilometers.

In the early Qing Dynasty, Sanhe Town was called sanhechang; in December 1994, it was changed from Sanhe township to Sanhe Town. By the end of 2018, the number of three registered residence households was 16474. As of June 2020, Sanhe Town has 1 community, 7 administrative villages and the people's Government of Sanhe Town is located at No. 90, Ping'an 1st road.

History of construction

In the early Qing Dynasty, Sanhe Town was called sanhechang.

After December 1, 1949, it became Sanhe township.

In January 1953, Sanhe township was divided into Xinchang Township and Erlang township.

In January 1956, Xinchang Township and Erlang Township were merged into Sanhe township.

In 1958, Sanhe township was changed into Sanhe commune.

In 1985, Sanhe commune was changed into Sanhe township.

In December 1994, Sanhe township was changed into Sanhe Town.
