As a place name, Wanbao township has the same name in Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province and Hunan Province. Due to the influence of natural conditions and different local policy planning, there are differences in the development and construction of each township.
brief introduction
Wanbao township is under the jurisdiction of Zhaozhou county. It is located in the south of the county, near Zhaozhou town in the north and Zhaoyuan County in the south. The township government is 3 kilometers away from the county seat. After the fall of Northeast China, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhaozhou street, Zhaozhou county. After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was under the jurisdiction of the first district in February 1946. In December 1951, the fourteenth district was added. In April 1956, the township was removed and divided into Xinmin, Taiji and other townships. In September 1958, it merged with Zhaozhou town and established Zhaozhou Town People's commune. In December 1959, Wanbao people's commune was set up from Zhaozhou commune. Later, the northern area of Wanbao commune was delimited and shuangfa commune was established. In the spring of 1984, Wanbao commune was changed into Wanbao township.
Nature and Administration
Wanbao township is flat. There is the largest Bayi Reservoir in the county. The total area of the township is 112 square kilometers, with 116000 mu of arable land, 74000 mu of grassland and 3 reed ponds. The natural resource conditions are good. In 1992, the total output value of brick factories and felt factories was 21.66 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over 12 villages, including Qingshan, Wanbao, JIANGCHANG, Zhuangzhi, Xinmin, Xincheng, Zhiguo, Minji, Taiji, Xinfeng, Zhonghua and Zhaoan. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 28500, all of whom were Han nationality. The township government is located in Qingshan village. the "ancient city of Minji" in the south of zitun, the ancient city of Minji village, is rectangular and built with rammed earth. Except for some remnant sections of the east wall and the west wall, the rest are cultivated land. It is proved to be an ancient city in the Liao and Jin Dynasties.
