Qingshan town belongs to Jinzhai County, Anhui Province. It is located in the southeast of Jinzhai County, upstream of Xianghongdian reservoir, on the Bank of xipi River, 58 km away from the county. It has jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 82 villager groups. The total area is 164.4 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Qingshan town was originally known as "bengshanzui" because of the collapse of shanzui, but later people mistakenly said that it was "Qingshanzui", or Qingshan for short. After liberation, it belonged to Liubo district. In 1957, Xianghongdian reservoir was built, Mabu and Liubo towns were inundated, and the residents moved to Qingshan, so it was called Qingshan District. In 1968, Qingshan commune, Jianghe commune and Bahe commune were merged into Qingshan commune. In 1972, it was divided into two groups, and then changed to Qingshan township. In 1984, with the approval of Lu'an administrative office, Qingshan township was removed and Qingshan town was built. In 1992, Jianghe, Bahe and Qingshan were merged into a new Qingshan town.
