Jinghe town is located in the south of Xiangyin County, connecting Wenxing street in the East, Jinlong town in the south, Zhangshu town in the west, Xiangjiang River in the north and Chengxi town across the river. In October 1995, Jinghe township was composed of the former Jinghe Township and Wanhe township. In January 2016, Jinghe township was renamed Jinghe town. At present, it is within the planning and design area of 88 square kilometers, which is the key development of the lakeside demonstration zone of the Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan two oriented society experimental zone. It governs 19 administrative villages (merged into 9 administrative villages and 1 community), 246 villager groups, with a total area of 60.9 square kilometers, 7169 households, a total population of 30153 people, a cultivated land area of 22073 Mu and a mountain forest area of 14280 mu. in 2018, the GDP will reach 416 million yuan, an increase of 25% over 2014; the local fiscal revenue will increase from 25.24 million yuan to 44.26 million yuan, an increase of 75%; the per capita net income of farmers is expected to reach 16500 yuan, an increase of 13.8%.
