Shimen Town, which belongs to Qingshui County, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the east of Qingshui County, east of Tiancheng Town, Longxian, Baoji, Longxian, and the border area of Yuen Long town in Maiji District, West to Longdong and Baisha Town, and north to Qin Ting Town, with an area of 229.8 square kilometers, and registered residence population of 10737 people in 2018.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was a dependency of Baisha Town. In September 1952, Shanmen Township, Shanmen District, was established. The commune was abolished and the township was restored. In January 2003, the township was removed and the town was built. In January 2004, Wangxing township was merged into Shanmen town.
