Qianjin township is a combination of Qianjin Township and Baohe Township in 1996. It is located in the northeast of Hanbin District, adjacent to Xunyang in the East, Zaoyang in the south, Gongjin in the west, Cigou in the north, and 29 kilometers away from Ankang City. The township has a total area of 49.7 square kilometers, 86 villager groups, 1553 households and 6430 people (statistics at the end of 2007), with a cultivated area of 11580 mu, including 649 mu of paddy fields.

Before the merger of Wenzu village in 2001, there were 15 villages under the jurisdiction of Shipo, Maliu, Gaoju, Yousheng, xunzhuang, Yanshan, Gaoyue, songshuliang, Baohe, Hongyan, Wanglou, Longqiao, Huzhu, conglomeration and Shimen. Now there are 7 natural villages under the jurisdiction, namely: Shipo village, Gaoju Village, Gaoyue village, Baohe village, Wanglou village, conglomeration village and Shimen village. The village is a typical small village in mountainous area with few people, poor resources and weak economic foundation. There are many small rivers such as Liuli River and Baojia river. The air is fresh, the climate is pleasant and the scenery is charming. Rich in chestnut, persimmon, walnut, jujube and so on, persimmon wine, straw wine, dried tofu has long been famous. The township is dominated by agriculture, and flue-cured tobacco production is an important pillar of the township economy. The area of flue-cured tobacco accounts for one third of the total area of flue-cured tobacco in Hanbin District. It is the largest township of flue-cured tobacco production in Hanbin District, and has been praised as an advanced unit of Flue-cured Tobacco production by the district Party committee and the district government for years. In 2007, the township developed 2800 mu of flue-cured tobacco, purchased 374000 Jin of tobacco, and realized an output value of 1.57 million yuan, ranking first in the production of flue-cured tobacco in Hanbin District for 10 consecutive years. In 2008, 3000 mu of flue-cured tobacco was planted in the township. There are nine grass-roots party branches with 286 members in the township. There are one nine-year school, one complete primary school, six junior primary schools, health centers, power supply stations, credit cooperatives and other Township affiliated units in the township. Zao (Yang) Bao (he) highway runs through the whole Township, which is the main artery of the township's economic development. in recent years, the township party committee and government, in combination with the local conditions and scientific layout, have vigorously developed the five major industries of flue-cured tobacco, sericulture, animal husbandry, konjac and labor export, resulting in sustained and rapid economic growth of the whole Township, further improvement and improvement of people's living standards, accelerated infrastructure construction and obvious improvement of ecological environment. In 2007, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township was more than 31 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 335000 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 1910 yuan.
