Xinglong Town

It is adjacent to longheyu town in the west of Gansu Province, with a total area of 628 square kilometers.

In February 1960, Xinglong District Working Committee was set up in Xinglong town; in 2018, Xinglong Township was changed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in Xinlong town was 20308. As of June 2020, Xinglong town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages.

The main food crops in Xinglong town are wheat, corn and potato covered with plastic film; the main animal husbandry is sheep, live pig, Rex Rabbit and quail; the main industry is private machine brick enterprises.

History of construction

In February 1960, the working committee of Xinglong district was established.

In April 1964, the working committee of Xinglong district was abolished and changed into Yuquan commune.

After May 1966, Yuquan commune was abolished,

In April 1968, Yuquan commune was reestablished.

In December 1983, Yuquan commune was abolished and Xinglong Township was established. The original jurisdiction over Shaoyu district was set out.

In 2016, Xinglong Township was changed from township to town.

Xinglong town is located in the north east of Xihe County, bordering shaijing Township in the East, Luhe Township in the south, Xiyu town in the west, Mayuan town and Shaoyu town in the north, 5km away from Xihe County, with a total area of 68.98km2.

Xinglong town is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River Basin, the terrain is high in the East and low in the West; the terrain is mainly earth rock mountain, which belongs to mountainous and hilly areas; the highest point in the territory is located in the East yangmuzui, with an altitude of 2239 meters; the lowest point is located in the West machiba River, with an altitude of 1560 meters.
