LANGPING Township
LANGPING Township, subordinate to Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, bordering ECHI town of Qianjiang District in the East, Cangling town in the south, Miaoxi Township in the west, Anzi Township and Meiziya township of Pengshui County in the north. It is 107KM away from Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 67.5 square kilometers.
In 1941, LANGPING township was located in Hexi Township, Lianghe district; in March 1983, it was changed from LANGPING commune to LANGPING township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Lang Ping Township was 10980. As of June 2020, LANGPING countryside has jurisdiction over three administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Langba village.
The main food crops in LANGPING township are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle and sheep. In 2018, there were 3 industrial enterprises and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in LANGPING township.
History of construction
In 1941, it was set up in Hexi Township, Lianghe district. In 1942, Hexi township was renamed LANGPING township.
In September 1958, LANGPING township was changed into LANGPING commune.
In March 1983, LANGPING commune was changed into LANGPING township.

Division evolution
In 1985, LANGPING village governed 10 administrative villages, including Min'an, Renyi, Zhujiashan, guantiangou, Nanling, backbone, Yuxia, Nanxi, Zhonghe and Zhongling.
In 1993, in order to build the Dahekou Hydropower Station, Nanxi and Yuxia villages were assigned to Dahekou township. LANGPING rural area has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, namely Min'an, Jianyi, Zhujiashan, guantiangou, Nanling, backbone, Zhongling and Zhonghe.
In 2001, Min'an, Zhongling, Zhonghe and key villages Fanjiashan were merged into Langba village, guantiangou, Nanling, key village backbone mountain and Zhujiashan village Zhujiashan village were merged into Guannan village, and key villages zhoujiagou and Zhujiashan village tongqianxi were merged into appraisal village. Since then, LANGPING township has governed langshuiba, Guannan and appraisal villages.
In 2011, LANGPING village governs three administrative villages, namely, Langba dam, Guannan and Pinghui, with 32 villager groups.
