Fenghuang town is a town level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Youxian District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. Fenghuang town is located in the northeast of Youxian District, covering an area of 27 square kilometers, including 958 hectares of cultivated land, 1.48 mu of cultivated land per capita of agricultural population, and 27.3% of forest coverage. In 1997, the total population was 9804, including 9654 agricultural people, all of whom were Han nationality. It has jurisdiction over 9 villages and 1 residents' committee. 74 agricultural cooperatives. Fenghuang town is 33 kilometers away from Mianyang City and 22 kilometers away from Jiangyou City.

2014

In September, Fenghuang township was abolished and a new Fenghuang town was established.

In 1992, the former Fenghuang township of Shizhong District was merged with Zhongxing town of Shizhong District to form Zhongxing town of Youxian district. On October 29, 1997, Fenghuang was separated from Zhongxing town of Youxian district to set up an independent township.

2014

In September, Fenghuang township was abolished and a new Fenghuang town was established. Township organs include Party committee office, government office, agriculture office, village and town construction office, enterprise office, family planning office and finance office.
