Qianjin township is under the jurisdiction of Daowai District of Harbin city. It is located in the northwest of the city, on the North Bank of Songhua River, adjacent to Binzhou railway in the East, Wanbao town in the West and Hulan County in the north. In the early Qing Dynasty, a naval camp was set up in shuangkoumen. After that, it was successively under the jurisdiction of Hulan city guard and Hulan vice governor. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Hulan Prefecture. Qianjin township is close to the Songhua River, with flat terrain and fertile soil.
