Lianhua town is located in the northeast corner of Xingwen County, Yibin City. It is located in Lianhua Street Village (formerly Guanyin Temple), 18 kilometers away from Gusong town of Xingwen County. It borders Maling town of Xuyong County in the East, Taiping Town in the south, Gongle town and Wuxing Township in the west, and Jiangmen town of Xuyong County in Luzhou in the north. It governs 12 administrative villages, 143 villager groups, 1 neighborhood committee and 5 resident groups, with a total population of 19230 (2017). Lianhua town is located in hilly area with mild climate, abundant rainfall, long frost free period, four distinct seasons, hot and rainy seasons, and annual average temperature of 19 ℃. It is suitable for planting all kinds of crops. Its main economic income depends on planting and breeding industry, especially grain, live pig, fishery, sericulture, poultry and vegetables. The town government, the town people's Congress and the town Party committee are stationed in lianhuajie village.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to designate Lianhua town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
