Longtan town

Longtan town is under the jurisdiction of Yongding District, Longyan City, Fujian Province. It is the east gate of Yongding and the main traffic road from Yongding to the coastal area of South Fujian. Fushi highway, which connects 319 National Highway and Fusan provincial highway, runs through the whole territory.

General situation of villages and towns

Longtan town is located in the east of Yongding County, on the upstream of Yongding River, connecting Zhongzhong town of Xinluo District in the East, Meilin township of Nanjing County in the south, Fushi town in the West and Peifeng town in the north, covering an area of 81.7 square kilometers. The town government is located in Longtan Village, 41 kilometers away from the county.

The town has 7 administrative villages, 1 forest farm and 1 fruit farm. There are 83 villager groups and 28 natural villages, of which 5 are revolutionary villages. In 2000, there were 3352 households and 12727 people in the town. Except Lianzhong village, which also speaks "jinjinxue", the rest speak Hakka dialect.

Historical evolution

Before the Republic of China, it belonged to fengdali, which was called Shangfeng Township before liberation, and Longtan Township after liberation. In 1958, Fushi people's commune was established with Xilian, longyi, Wuhu, Fuxi and other villages. In 1959, Longtan administrative area was set up. In 1961, Longtan Township People's commune was established, and in March 1970, it was incorporated into Fushi people's commune. In 1984, it belonged to Fushi township. In 1992, Fushi removed the township and built a town. In 1993, it was separated from Fushi town and set up Longtan Township. In 1997, the township was set up.

natural resources

It is rich in mineral resources, with proven coal reserves of more than 100 million tons and limestone reserves of more than 300 million tons. Iron, manganese and clay mines have been mined for many years. Provincial Longtan, tongluoping coal mines and Changfushan coalfield are in the territory. Rich in forest resources, in 2000, the town's forest stock was 167000 cubic meters, with a forest coverage rate of 71.4%.

infrastructure

From 2001 to 2005, the infrastructure facilities such as tap water, telephone, communication and electric power will be completed. A water supply plant with a daily water supply capacity of 1500 tons will be built with an investment of 1.2 million yuan, with one 110kV substation and one 35kV substation. By the end of 2005, a total investment of more than 5 million yuan has been made to achieve road hardening of 30 km, and the cement pavement hardening from market town to Yuxi and from market town to Fenglin has been completed. Nine communication base stations have been built to realize village to village distance control telephone, and more than 600 wired telephone users have been established. A broadband network has been opened. Urban construction has begun to take shape. According to the urban construction idea of "planning from a high starting point, implementing step by step, building new according to capacity, focusing on the renovation of the old, and comprehensively renovating", by the end of 2005, we will complete the facade decoration of the market center and the construction of hengsi Road, basically complete the transformation of the old street, and implement greening, beautification, and lighting projects, so as to achieve the overall goal of greening, beautifying, hardening, and lighting of the town.

Shangzai village in Longtan town is one of the main hometown of overseas Chinese in Yongding County. There are more than 700 overseas Chinese, mainly in Indonesia. Lu Guozhen, a famous overseas Chinese, loved the public welfare of his hometown and donated more than 3 million yuan to the construction and education of his hometown.

In 2005, the total social output value of the town was 1.26 billion yuan, the fiscal revenue was 35 million yuan, and the annual per capita net income of farmers was 5180 yuan, an increase of 107%, 282% and 36.3% respectively over 2000.

We will steadily promote agricultural production, implement the strategy of stabilizing the town through agriculture, adjust the agricultural industrial structure, and encourage farmers to plant cash crops such as peanuts, flue-cured tobacco, taro, ginger, etc., which have low investment and quick results. In 2005, the output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 28.9 million yuan, 1.68 million yuan, 24.14 million yuan and 1.1 million yuan respectively. More than 1.4 million yuan has been invested in the construction of irrigation and water conservancy in five years. New progress has been made in forestry production, with a total of 800 Mu forested in five years. At the end of 2005, the forest area was 117291 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 60%. We will complete the reform of the forest property right system in an all-round way. The production of livestock, fishery and poultry eggs increased by a large margin.

During the five years of vigorous development of township enterprises, the Party committee and government of Longtan town insist on proceeding from reality, give full play to their own advantages, and further activate private capital through perfect service, accurate information and good environment, so as to promote the vigorous development of township enterprises in Longtan. By the end of 2005, there were 682 township enterprises with 6120 employees in the town, realizing an added value of 320 million yuan, an increase of 217%, 16% and 88% respectively over 2000.

Since 2001, the Party committee and government of Longtan town have made great efforts to implement the project driving strategy, implementing the project operation mechanism of one project, one set of people, one piece of funds, and the departments' joint management and close cooperation, forming a good atmosphere of large and fast projects throughout the town, which has greatly promoted the rapid development of economy. By the end of 2005, the town had attracted a total of 800 million yuan of foreign direct investment, including 7 projects under construction or planned, including Xingxin cement phase II, Changfushan coal mine, Longxing Chemical Industry, ginger processing projects, etc., forming 26 industrial enterprises above designated size. Fujian Yongding Xingxin Cement Co., Ltd., a provincial key construction project with a total investment of about 420 million yuan and an annual output of 1.5 million tons of rotary kiln cement, was officially put into operation in October 2004.

Its completion and operation not only makes the cement industry of Longtan town develop towards large scale and high grade, but also greatly drives the development of related industries. Coal, building materials, metallurgy, chemical and other industries are also developing rapidly. Yongding Fengyuan Chemical Co., Ltd., with an investment of more than 11 million yuan and an annual output of 50000 tons of light calcium carbonate, started construction on July 1, 2004 and put into operation in January 2005. Longxing Chemical Co., Ltd., another light calcium carbonate plant with an investment of more than 12 million yuan, is also under intensive construction and is expected to be completed and put into operation in April 2006. The rich coal reserves also attract many foreign investors. Changfushan coal mine, invested 120 million yuan by Fujian coal and Power Co., Ltd., officially started construction in July 2005. It is the third large state-owned coal mine in Longtan town.
