Hongqi Township

Hongqi township is located in the south of Huichuan Road, west of yinkun Expressway and east of neiliu railway. It is adjacent to Yantan new town in the East, Xinglong Town in Yantan District in the south, Fenghuang Township in Da'an District in the west, Xueyuan street, Dangui street and Bancang street in high tech Zone in the north. The office building of the township government is located at No.28 Xueyuan street, West Huidong Road, Zigong City. The township government has "three offices and three centers", namely: the party and government office, the social affairs management office, the urban and rural development office, the agricultural comprehensive service center, the village and town construction sanitation service center and the social service center, and the land acquisition and demolition office (temporary institution). At present, there are 43 staff members, including 8 civil servants (4 township leaders), 3 public servants, 2 service workers, 12 employed workers, 13 flexible workers, 3 loaners, and 2 staff assigned by the unified taxation office of the high tech Zone.

In 2019, Hongqi township will be abolished and Hongqi Street will be established. The administrative area of Hongqi Street will be the former Hongqi Township and the administrative areas of yanggongqiao village, Zijing community, Donghu community and yanggongqiao community in Weiping town of Yantan district. Hongqi Street office is located at 255 Xingchuan South Street.

On July 1, 1994, Hongqi township was entrusted by Da'an district to the Management Committee of high tech Zone; after the adjustment of administrative divisions on August 1, 2005, Hongqi township was transferred from Da'an district to Ziliujing District, and then it was entrusted by Ziliujing district to the Management Committee of high tech Zone. According to the spirit of Zigong Municipal People's Government (2006) No. 36 document, from August 1, 2006, the high tech Zone has been involved in the surrounding areas of Nanhu eco city, including Longshen village, Heshan village and kaoju village in Gaofeng township of Ziliujing District, groups 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10 of Jigong village in Fenghuang township of Da'an district (now group 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Dawan Village), and groups 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Bancang village in Weiping town of Yantan district (now group 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Yanggong Village) Seven hundred and eighty-eight rural population in 41 groups of 5 villages (group 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) were entrusted, and these villages were put under the management of Hongqi township. In May 2007, according to the needs of the development and construction of the high tech Zone, the high tech Zone entrusted group 2 and group 4 of Bancang village, Weiping Town, Yantan District, and brought these village groups into the management of Hongqi township. Hongqi township has 59926 people (2017), covering an area of 0.64 square kilometers. There are 5 villages (Heshan village, kaoju village, Longshen village, Dawan village, yanggongqiao Village) and 3 communities (Dayan, Jinghu and yanggongqiao communities). in 2019, Hongqi township will be abolished and Hongqi Street will be established. The administrative area of Hongqi Street will be the former Hongqi Township and the administrative areas of yanggongqiao village, Zijing community, Donghu community and yanggongqiao community in Weiping Town, Yantan district. Hongqi Street office is located at 255 xingchuannan street.
