Dongrong town
Dongrong town is named because the town government is located in Dongrong village. It is located at 111.20 E and 23.29 n. It is located in the north of Teng County, about 60 kilometers away from the county. It borders Pingfu Township in the East, Taiping Town in the south, Dali town and Pingnan Tonghe town in the west, and Chentang town in Mengshan County in the north.
Evolution of administrative districts
In 1960, Taiping commune and Xiucheng (DALI) commune set up Potou commune. In 1963, it was renamed Potou district. In 1968, the residence of the commune moved from Potou to Dongrong village, so it was named. In 1984, it was renamed Dongrong Township, and in 1997, it was renamed Dongrong town according to guizhenghan [1997] No.72 document.

Dongrong town of Tengxian county is located in the subtropical hilly area, with rolling mountains, lush trees, crisscross rivers, rich tourism resources and water resources.
