Jiacha town
Jiacha County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs towns and 11 administrative villages, including baiqiong village, Nuqiao village, zhaxidinggang village, nitang village, Xiangmu village, remai village, jiudui village, Lianmai village, liandui village, Jiangtang village and Longba village. The town government is stationed in xidinggang village.
It is located in the Middle East of Jiacha County, Shannan City, Tibet. It is adjacent to the Yarlung Zangbo River in the south, across the river from lengda Township, Lang County in the East, anrao town in the west, cuijiu Township and Ba Township in the north. The average altitude is 3230 meters.
The township covers an area of 512.04 square kilometers. Rich in Cordyceps, Fritillaria and other medicinal materials.
In 2017, the total population was 3516, all Tibetan.
Mainly cultivated highland barley, wheat, rape, pepper, apple. Yak, yak, cattle, goat and sheep are raised.
There are baijiaomu temple, dalagangbu temple and other temples. Dalagangbu temple is a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level.

In 2010, there were 3261 permanent residents (in the sixth census of 2010). in December 2015, there were 963 households and 3414 people in the town (including 30 herdsmen and 102 people), 20 households and 53 people more than in 2014. in 2017, the total population was 3516, all Tibetan.

There are baijiaomu temple, dalagangbu temple and other temples. There is an ivory spring scenic spot. Dalagangbu temple is a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level. Dalagangbu temple, built in 1121, is one of the famous Buddhist holy places in the area. It was destroyed during the turmoil of the ten-year "Cultural Revolution", and the cultural relics in the temple were damaged to a certain extent. Ivory spring scenic spot is located in remai village, Jiacha Town, Jiacha County, 17 km away from the county. The spring eye flows out in the crevice of stalactite. The stone shape is like an elephant drinking water, so it is called Ivory spring.
History and culture
The fifth Rezhen living Buddha Rezhen Hutuktu (1912-1947) was born in remai village, Jiacha town. After he took charge of Tibet's political and religious affairs, Rezhen living Buddha loved the motherland, maintained unity, attacked Pro British forces, and managed Tibet's politics and religion meticulously, which won the hearts of the people.
