Zhonghe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, is located in the northwest of Danzhou City. Zhonghe Town, built in the Han Dynasty, is called Gaopo. In 1957, Zhonghe town was established. In 1987, it was changed into a town. Historical evolution

Zhonghe Town, built in the Han Dynasty, is called Gaopo.

In 622, daner county was changed to Danzhou, and its government was moved from Yilun (now Sandu town) to Gaopo, and its name was changed to Yilun, which is now Zhonghe town.

During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1600-1620), a garrison was set up and troops were stationed. Since then, Danzhou dialect was changed from Danzhou dialect to military dialect in urban areas, and Danzhou dialect was still spoken in surrounding villages.
