Xianfeng township is under the jurisdiction of Wangkui county. Located in the west of the county, Tongken river east bank. The township government is 6.5km away from the county.

Evolution of organizational system

After Wangkui was established, it was under the jurisdiction of tongjiangbu District of Wangkui County in 1921. TENGWEI village was set up in the late period of the Japanese occupation in Northeast China. After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was under the jurisdiction of TENGWEI district and changed to the Fourth District in April 1951. In April 1956, the township was divided into touduan Township and Erduan township. In September 1958, Erduan township was renamed Xianfeng people's commune, and touduan township was renamed Quanfeng people's commune. In November of the same year, Quanfeng commune was abolished and Xianfeng commune was replaced. In April 1984, it was changed into Xianfeng township.

Xianfeng township is high in the East and low in the West. It is easy to be waterlogged due to salt and alkali. A small Xianfeng reservoir is built. The total area of the township is 128 square kilometers, with a cultivated area of 127000 mu.

Economics

It mainly grows grain crops. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 39.31 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over 10 villages, including Xianfeng village, Bailiu village, Baisi village, Baiwu village, Kunsan village, kunsi village, Fengshou village, Sannan village, Sanqian village and liangzhongchang village. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 23000, with Manchu and Mongolian minorities. The township government is located in Xianfeng village.
