Xinmin Township

Xinmin Township is a township under the jurisdiction of Anyi County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Located in the northwest of Anyi County, it is located in the hills and has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including Xinmin village, Wuxi village, Zhuluo village and Luofeng village. It is the transportation hub at the junction of Nanchang, Jiujiang and Yichun. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages and 4 communities.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1956, Xinmin Township was set up when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. In 1957, it was merged with Qiaoling reclamation farm. In 1961, Xinmin commune was set up and the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, it governed eight administrative villages, namely Xinmin, Wuxi, Luofeng, Qiaoling, shanshang, Zhuluo, Shangli and Baitian. On November 15, 2001, Qiaoling township was abolished and transferred to Xinmin Township.
