Jinsha Township, belonging to Huanan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northwest of Huanan county and the south of Sanjiang Plain. It is adjacent to Mingyi Township in the East, Tulongshan town in the south, Yugong Township in Yilan County in the West and Qunsheng Township in the suburb of Jiamusi City in the North. In 2018, the area was 279.34 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 16314.
In 1910, it belonged to the third district of Yilan County. In 1941, it belonged to Yilan County. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it belonged to the third district of Jinsha River District in Yidong county. In 1948, it belonged to Jinsha River District of Huanan county. In March 1956, it was renamed the third district. In September 1958, jinshahe commune was established, belonging to Huachuan County. In September 1980, it was renamed Jinsha commune. In April 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
