Xinmin Township is located in the north of tianningjiang District, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. Covering an area of 149.78 square kilometers, it governs 6 administrative villages, 17 natural villages and 31 communities, with a total population of 12335. It is rich in resources and rich in soil. At present, there are 3300 hectares of cultivated land and 1700 hectares of grassland. There are five ancient sites in the Western Zhou, Warring States, Han, Liao and Jin Dynasties, and the beautiful crucian carp bubble scenic spot

The main crops are corn, rice and soybean. High quality rice varieties such as SONGFENG, chaochangliwang, xiangdao and Teyou 21 are the main varieties in the township. Animal husbandry and rare bird industry have a strong development momentum. There are 1800 cattle, 22000 sheep and 30000 geese in the township. The main breeds of cattle are Simmental and Charolais. Sheep are mainly small tail Han sheep, Suffolk and Boer goats. In recent years, Xinmin village comprehensive breeding farm, Caijia Village Small Tail Han sheep base and other leading enterprises have been built. The unique water resources here can be used to breed aquatic products, and the crab culture by soaking in water has been successful in Hexi village.
