Historical evolution

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Huayang county and Shuangliu County respectively. In 1954, it was established as Shuangliu County. In 1960, 30 square kilometers of Juqiao people's commune was included in Jinniu District of Chengdu City. In 1990, it was divided into Wuhou District. In 1994, Chuqiao became one of the first 100 pilot towns in the province. In 1997, it covers an area of 30 square kilometers and has a population of 33000. It governs 12 administrative villages including Majiahe, Xinmiao, Wenchang, Sanhe, Nanqiao, yinjialin, Liangshuijing, Gaobei, Shunjiang, Tiefo, Longjing and shenjiaqiao. It is one of the first 100 pilot towns in the province. In 1999, Chuqiao was approved by the State Council as a national pilot town of comprehensive reform. in 2001, it became a national pilot town of comprehensive reform. On December 23, 2003, the people's Government of Sichuan Province (No. 41, Chuanfu civil administration) approved the relocation of the government's residence in Chuqiao Township, Wuhou District from No. 9, South Chujin road to No. 239, Section 2, Fujin Road. on July 14, 2004, the people's Government of Sichuan Province (No. 21, Chuanfu civil administration) agreed to abolish the jueqiao Township and implement the sub district office management system in its administrative region. in 2007, the jurisdiction area of Chuqiao street after the adjustment of administrative division is the jurisdiction area of Longjing Village, Xinmiao village, Majiahe village and Liangshuijing village. It covers an area of 9.3 square kilometers and has a population of about 18000. The office is located at 239, Section 2, Fujin Road. in 2009, Chuqiao street was listed as one of the city's 40 comprehensive supporting reform demonstration projects.
